HIGH POINT — Bienenstock Furnishings Library has named the 2021 winners of its annual pupil design competitions for furnishings and inside design.
For the furnishings problem, college students submitted a design for a chair for both or each the residential and contract trade segments.
Anna Bibikova on the College of Houston secured first place and a $5,000 prize for her chair named Manta, that includes a hammock-like web woven round a fluid steel body, which is appropriate for outside use. Along with her prize, the design division at her faculty receives a $1,000 prize.
Priyanka Sanghi at Savannah Faculty of Artwork & Design gained second place within the furnishings design competitors and $1,500.
For the inside design competitors, college students got a consumer profile and mission overview for a CEO of a significant music recording firm.
Yufei (Serena) Zhong at Savannah Faculty of Artwork & Design gained first place and a $5,000 prize for her inside design and branding mission entitled Thorn Data, that includes dramatic ceilings and energetic particulars suited to a tough rock aesthetic. Her faculty additionally receives a $1,000 prize.
Mengying Qi, additionally at Savannah Faculty of Artwork & Design, gained second place and $1,500.
